Investigators have found a new marker that might be used for diagnosing a common form of lung cancer, especially at late stages.

High expression of this marker, which is a particular circular RNA, in blood and lung cancer tissue was linked with increased cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, which are characteristics necessary for tumor growth and metastasis.

The results are published in The FEBS Journal.
