Wiley has teamed up with the Icahn
School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, one of the world's leading
medical institutions, to create a series of expert guides for medical
trainees, research fellows and practicing physicians. The six Mount
Sinai Expert Guides combine the expertise of the medical faculty
with new online platforms and mobile apps, creating accessible and
portable guides tailored for the new generation of physicians.
The first title in the series Mount
Sinai Expert Guides: Hepatology publishes this month. This
rapid-reference guide to the diagnosis and clinical management of liver
disease is edited by Jawad Ahmad, MD, Scott Friedman, MD, and Henryk
Dancygier, MD.

obtain accurate and practical information as quickly as possible,” said
Dr. Friedman, who is also the Series Editor. “The Mount Sinai
Expert Guides meet this need by delivering accurate, up-to-date,

The experts guide users through the profound advances in understanding

have established this discipline as a distinct area of study, no longer
tied to gastroenterology.
Based in New York City, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is
internationally recognized for its groundbreaking research. The school,
first founded in 1963, is ranked 19th out of 126 medical schools across
the United States by U.S. News & World Report.
The debut guide will be followed by Mount Sinai Expert Guides:
Gastroenterology in December 2014. Four more guides to psychiatry,
allergy and immunology, cardiology, and neurology will publish
throughout 2015.
Each title is supported
by online material, including video clips, case studies, interactive
Multiple Choice Questions, and patient advice. A mobile app for each
guide is also available for purchase, giving users rapid access to key
features regardless of location.
