John Wiley & Sons, Inc. (NYSE: JWa & JWb), announced today that the
Wiley Scholarship at Hoboken High School has been awarded to Jacinto
Saenz for his solid record of civic service and academic achievements.
The $5,000 scholarship was presented June 18, 2013, at the Hoboken High
School awards ceremony. Each year since 2003, Hoboken High School has
selected an exceptional student with a strong academic record, excellent
leadership skills, record of community service, and strong work ethic to
receive the Wiley Scholarship.
"Wiley is pleased to recognize the accomplishments of Jacinto Saenz,"

contributions to the community and academic achievements are a fine
example of the qualities we value as an organization.” Wiley strives to
be a good neighbor and places great value on giving back to local
communities. In addition to the Wiley Scholarship at Hoboken High
School, Wiley sponsors many local, national, and international awards
and scholarships to recognize and foster ongoing excellence in
scientific achievement and discovery.
In addition to maintaining a 4.00 GPA, Jacinto was a varsity member of
the Hoboken High School soccer team for four years and president of the
French and Math clubs. Jacinto also volunteers his time as a local EMT
and tutors students in science.
Jacinto will attend St. Peters University in the fall.
