John Wiley & Sons, Inc., today announced a new suite of resources and
tools to enhance the Wiley
Job Network and connect the growing number of registered job seekers
with some of the most prestigious employers in the science and
technology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and academic sectors.
First launched in 2011, the Wiley Job Network grew to over 50,000
registered job seekers in the first six months. The job board is now
host to nearly 4,000 live vacancies and over 75,000 registered
candidates, maintaining a monthly average of over 55,000 job views.
Through its relationship with Wiley
Online Library, the Wiley Job Network has become a key platform for
connecting employers such as Merck, GE Healthcare, Adecco and Johnson &
Johnson with a highly-specialized, global community of researchers and
professionals.
Wiley Online Library attracts a global audience of 10 million unique
visitors every month, generating 80 million ad impressions and 40
million page views. Over 65% of these users hold advanced degrees.
Wiley Job Network’s new resources and tools present job seekers with a
streamlined interface, allowing them to easily navigate vacancies across
six core industry sectors; Pharmaceutical, Science, Academic, Doctors,
Nursing, and Allied Health & Social Care.
A revamped home page also highlights the latest job postings, offers
expert career advice and facilitates the search for vacancies. In
addition, a new salary widget allows users to gain insights on expected
salary ranges for their desired positions, which can be filtered by
industry segment and/or by geographic location.
The improved site also includes a new resume alert feature allowing
employers to create tailored alerts when new relevant candidate profiles
are available, helping them match the most current and qualified
applicants to their vacancies.
“In a competitive market it is important that job seekers are able to
quickly and simply find the jobs they are looking for,” said Darren
Webster, Global Online Corporate Sales Director, Wiley. “The
enhancements to the Wiley Job Network add value to job seekers through
easier site navigation and useful career tools, while enabling employers
to substantially reduce time to hire."
