Global publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc., and NKBA (National Kitchen &
Bath Association), North America’s premier association for kitchen &
bath professionals, announced today a partnership to deliver a new
generation of educational reference materials for those working in the
kitchen and bath industry. The partnership supports the company’s
long-term strategies to support research, learning, and professional
practice with content and services that provide customers with
information, learning resources, and best practices to enhance their
professional lives and realize their career and personal goals.
As the exclusive global publisher and distributor of the NKBA’S
Professional Resource Library, Wiley and NKBA will publish a series of
essential reference and instructional titles in a variety of digital and
print formats to provide contractors, designers, architects, and others
in the kitchen and bath industry with professional development resources
that will help them better serve their clients. The first title to
publish, in May 2012, will be the revised edition of the NKBA’s’
flagship title, Kitchen & Bathroom Planning Guidelines with
Access Standards ISBN: 9781118347485. In addition,
Wiley and the NKBA will simultaneously launch an APP with instant access
to the same reliable information included in the newly revised Kitchen
& Bathroom Planning Guidelines. It will feature 31 fully
searchable guidelines for kitchens and 27 guidelines for bathrooms. It
is meticulously illustrated in full color with plans, sections, and
perspective views to show planning recommendations and code references
and requirements, that consider the needs of a range of users.
Upcoming titles for the series include the first two volumes of Kitchen
Planning: Guidelines, Codes, Standards and Bath
Planning: Guidelines, Codes, Standards, second edition,
which will be completely updated to include the latest information on
sustainability, universal design, building codes, and research. Both
titles are expected to publish in the winter of 2013.
