John Wiley & Sons, Inc., is pleased to learn that The Sveriges Riksbank
Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel for 2012 has been
awarded jointly to Professors Alvin E. Roth and Lloyd S. Shapley.
The award was given to Professor Alvin E. Roth, of Harvard University,
Cambridge, MA, USA, and Harvard Business School, Boston, MA, USA, and
Professor Lloyd S. Shapley, of the University of California, Los
Angeles, CA, USA, for their work on the theory of stable allocations and
the practice of market design; both have published papers in journals
available on Wiley Online Library.
Professor Roth has published articles in the journals Econometrica, Journal
of Behavioral Decision Making, The
Economic Journal,Negotiation
Journal, and The
RAND Journal of Economics, as well as contributing to a series
of papers on kidney donation in theAmerican
Journal of Transplantation. Professor Shapley has published
articles in the journals Systems
Research and Behavioral Science, Networks, Kyklos and
both winners have written several papers in Naval
Research Logistics Quarterly.
